Foodland pitches in to aid athletes

Foodland Super Market will be matching donations of its customers through tomorrow to help the Hawai'i High School Athletic Association's "Save Our Sports" program.

Foodland is matching customers' contributions on any amount up to $249 at checkout stands at any Foodland and Sack N Save stores statewide. Foodland will match the total collected from its customers up to $50,000.

HOW TO HELP

The Hawai'i High School Athletic Association is collecting contributions to help offset budget cuts at the state's public schools.

If you want to help, make checks payable to "HHSAA SOS Account," and send it to HHSAA, P.O. Box 62029, Honolulu, HI 96839.

For information, e-mail info@hhsaa.org or call HHSAA at 587-4495. Contributions also can be made at www.sportshigh.com or First Hawaiian Bank (checks only) for the campaign running through Sept. 30.
