Campbell hazardous materials siren warning system to be tested tomorrow

Advertiser Staff

The city Department of Emergency Management and the Campbell Local Emergency Action Network will be testing hazardous materials incident sirens tomorrow at Campbell Industrial Park.

The warning group includes sirens at Campbell Industrial Park, Honokai Hale, Makakilo, Kapolei Regional Park, Kapolei golf Course and the Coast Guard station at Kalaeloa.
The sirens will emit a whooping tone immediately after the monthly Oahu outdoor warning siren test at 11:45 a.m.
During an actual HAZMAT emergency requiring alert and notification of the local community the siren sounding would be coordinated with emergency information broadcast over TV and radio via the Emergency Alert System
