Package drive for troops at Windward Mall

Events at Windward Mall this month benefit non-profit organizations.
On Sept. 5, Windward Mall partners with Operation Homefront of Hawaii for the second annual Aloha Care Package Drive at Center Court. From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. shoppers can drop off donations and participate in activities, including letter writing sponsored by Fresh Inc Stationery and live entertainment by Kevin Jones and acoustic recording artist Kona. Operation Homefront will accept names and APO addresses for those with family members or friends overseas, to ensure that they receive a package.
A Blood Bank of Hawaii Blood Drive takes place Saturday, Sept. 12 and 26. From 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Hawaii Blood Bank Bloodmobile will be located in the parking lot on the corner of Haiku Road and Kamehameha Highway for donations.
On Sept. 19, the mall hosts Kamehameha Schools’ Alumni Association Career Fair will provde information on job opportunities around the island.
