Sprint 4G launched in Honolulu, Maui

Advertiser Staff

Sprint today announced the launch of Sprint 4G mobile broadband throughout Honolulu and Maui. The move brings streaming video, fast file downloads and uploads and turbo-charged Web browsing.

Honolulu is one of the first communities to get 4G wireless connections from Sprint, the first national wireless carrier to test, launch and market 4G technology. Sprint 4G delivers download speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G.1.
With Sprint 4G, customers can download a song, picture, sitcom or large video in seconds, not minutes, or watch live streaming video.
“We are excited that Oahu and Maui are included in the first wave of markets with Sprint 4G,” said Dale Goya, general manager for Sprint Hawaii. “Sprint is committed to continue investing in Hawaii and it is a great opportunity for customers in both Maui and Oahu who can now enjoy speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G and take advantage of many 4G devices as they roll out in the months ahead.”
