University of Hawai‘i women’s basketball freshman standout Shawna Kuehu has a torn right ACL and will miss the remainder of the season after injurying her knee during an overtime loss against East Tennessee Sunday.

Kuehu, who suffered a season-ending knee injury to her left knee while at Punahou, averaged 12.6 points and 6.6 rebounds per game in her first five games. She played with a brace on her left knee.

Kuehu was driving toward the basketball in overtime, then came to a stop and fell to the floor.
