Woman struck by SUV on Kaheka Street dies of injuries

An 84-year-old woman who was struck by an SUV in the driveway of the Don Quijote store on Kaheka Street has died of her injuries, police said.

An Isuzu Rodeo driven by a 68-year-old man was turning right from Kaheka Street into the store’s parking lot when the vehicle hit the pedestrian, who was walking in the makai direction, police said. The woman suffered serious head injuries and was taken to The Queen's Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
The accident occurred shortly before 9 a.m. and the woman was pronounced dead at 12:55 p.m., police said.
