A 31-year-old Salt Lake man was arrested yesterday in connection with a Nov. 21 incident in which a 30-year-old woman reported being beaten and choked by the man about noon.

The woman told police she had been arguing with the man, with whom she had a relationship, when he began to punch and slap her.
The woman told police that at one point, the man began to choke her, restricting her breathing.
The man fled before police arrived but was arrested at 11 a.m. yesterday at a Waiwai Loop address near the airport on suspicion of abuse of a household or family member.
