Leeward Coast asked to conserve water

Advertiser Staff

Residents from Honokai Hale to Makaha will have reduced water service tomorrow night and are being asked to conserve while repairs are made.

The Board of Water Supply will be fixing a broken valve tomorrow and will shut off water flow from 7 p.m. tomorrow until 9 a.m. Saturday.
But the BWS will fill reservoirs on the Leeward Coast before repairs begin to ensure water service, however the 24-inch water main that brings 60 percent of the water to the Leeward Coast will not be in service. Therefore BWS is asking all residents to limit water use to cooking, drinking and personal hygiene.
