Artist Peggy Chun's works used on line of leather goods

By Paula Rath
Advertiser Staff Writer

Two of Peggy Chun's paintings are now available on a line of leather goods.
Through a collaboration with Paula Sussex of the Sandal Tree stores and leather goods company ICON, Chun’s “Banana Patch Heaven” and “Boo in a Bowl” are now imprinted on handbags, small leather goods and soon, shoes.
Chun is the third local artist to appear on ICON goods. Al Furtado and Rosalie Prussing preceded her. Prices range from $45 to $250.
A premimere and reception for the Peggy Chun line will take place from 6 to 10 Friday in the Peggy Chun Gallery on Nuçuanu Avenue; 545-4810.
The line will be sold exclusively in Sandal Tree stores on Maui, Kauaçi and the Big Island.
