Oahu SPCA appoints 3 to its board of directors

Advertiser Staff

The Oahu SPCA has named Kim Fong, Sandra Hayes and Nancy Bernal to its board of directors.

The three join co-founders Stephanie Ryan and Jennifer Kishimori on the organization's board. Ryan said the Oahu SPCA's mission is to ensure that "every healthy, treatable animal will find a forever home."

The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Kalaeloa facility at 1142 Roosevelt Ave. is fully functional, caring for more than 50 dogs and 100 cats each day. It relies on volunteers and tax-deductible donations to provide for the animals.

The facility will soon open a low-cost spay-neuter clinic to help control animal populations.

On Saturday, the Oahu SPCA invites the community to take photos with Santa "Claws" and tour the new shelter from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

Oahu SPCA's mailing address is P.O. Box 2332, 'Ewa Beach, HI 96706. For information, call 753-7060.
