Expect traffic at stadium because of football title games

Advertiser Staff

Motorists are being advised to allow for extra time if they are going to be the area of the Aloha Stadium because of the two state championship football games set for today.

At 4:30 p.m., Iolani and Kauai will vie for the HHSAA Division II championship. That game will be followed by the Kamehameha-Kahuku Division I championship game at 7:30.
Last year, more than 25,000 watched as Punahou beat Kahuku for the Division I crown. With the drive-time rush hour traffic and the expected large turnout at the stadium, police are cautioning motorists to be prepared for heavy traffic near the stadium.
