Jet Chang scored 27 points to lead three teammates in double figures as top-ranked Brigham Young-Hawai'i remained unbeaten in Division II with a 94-90 victory over Central Washington last night in the Seattle Pacific Tournament at Seattle.

Rory Patterson added 20 points, Virgil Buensuceso had 17 and Anthony Reilly 12 for the Seasiders, who improved to 4-0.

JC Cook scored 21 points and Chris Sprinker added 18 to lead the Wildcats (2-2).

The Seasiders, who led 46-41 at halftime but trailed 71-65 with 10 minutes left before rallying, will face 18th-ranked Seattle Pacific today.

CHAMINADE 71, LA VERNE 66

Matt Cousins had 15 points and seven rebounds, Steven Bennett had 12 points and Cartier Carter 11, helping the host Silverswords (1-3) hold off the Leopards (1-3) at McCabe Gym.

Chaminade led 35-24 at halftime, but La Verne rallied to tie the game at 43-all before the Silverswords pulled away to a double-figure lead. The Silverswords' next game is Wednesday against Hawai'i at the Stan Sheriff Center. Tipoff is 7:05 p.m.

RANKED MEN

NO. 9 MICHIGAN STATE 72, WOFFORD 60

Raymar Morgan had 19 points and 11 rebounds, both season highs, and three teammates scored in double figures as the host Spartans (6-2) defeated the Terriers (4-5)

NO. 13 FLORIDA 85, JACKSONVILLE 67

Erving Walker scored 18 points, Kenny Boynton added 15, and the visiting Gators (8-0) made 12 3-pointers to beat the Dolphins (0-5).

NO. 19 TEXAS A&M 74, AKRON 62

Donald Sloan had 17 points, including a 3-pointer in the game-changing 7-0 run, as the host Aggies (7-1) snapped the Zips (4-3) four-game winning streak.
