Hawaiian Historical Society plans book sale Thursday

The Hawaiian Historical Society plans its annual open house and sale of new books on Island history 4:30-6:30 p.m. Dec. 10 at the Mission Houses Museum, 560 Kawaiaha'o St.

The new books from Hawai'i authors and publishers will be offered at special discounts for one day only and the Mission Houses Museum Gift Shp will be open during the sale, as well.
Books include biography, history, natural history, tales and traditions, Hawaiian language and reference works, reprints and translations. Among the publishers: Bess Press, Bishop Museum Press, Kamehameha Publishing, Mutual Publishing, UH Press, Watermark Publishing.
