PBS releases new Tibet video

Advertiser Staff

PBS Distribution will release a new DVD, "Mustang: Journey of Transformation," about the history, traditions and religion of Tibet and the tiny kingdom of Mustang, an isolated bastion of Tibetan culture in the Himalayas.

Narrated by Richard Gere, long an advocate for Tibet's independence from China, the film features interviews with His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the King of Mustang, Jigme Palbar Bista and art conservator Luigi Fieni. Mustang is rich in untouched monasteries that date back to the 15th century.
Release date for the film is Jan. 5. Go to ShopPBS.org for information.
