Hawaii catering veteran, restaurateur open new catering firm

Advertiser Staff

Chris Beasley, formerly of Kahala Caterers, and Glenn Chu of Indigo Eurasian Cuisine (a catering veteran himself) have partnered to open Hoku Caterers, billing itself as "O'ahu's first sustainable caterer."

They plan to use locally grown products wherever possible and recyclable containers and will give a percentage of their sales to local charities. They will offer set menus of small plates and large, or will work with customers to create custom menus. Cooking will be on the event side whenever possible, for maximum freshness.
Hoku Caterers is located at 1121 Nu'uanu Ave., Ste. 201; 542-4120; twitter.com/hokucaterers. A Web site is under construction.
