Giant surf on Oahu’s North Shore is expected to stick around through tomorrow.

The National Weather Service said the North Shore can expect wave heights of 30 feet to 40 feet through today. Tomorrow, wave heights are forecast to be 25 feet to 35 feet, and lowering.

A high-surf warning for the North Shore is in effect through 6 p.m. tomorrow.

Today on the North Shore, 30- to 35-foot waves have been seen at Waimea Bay, with some higher sets.

On outer reefs, bigger surf — as high as 40 to 50 feet — have been reported.

Tom Birchard, NWS lead forecaster, said there are no reports of damage so far from the waves.
