The commander of Schofield Barracks' 25th Infantry Division has a new assignment.

Maj. Gen. Robert L. Caslen Jr. will be the next commanding general of the Army Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. He's also getting a third star.

Caslen has led the division since May 2008. He returned from Iraq in October after commanding 20,000 troops.

The 34-year veteran graduated from West Point in 1975. He served in the 1991 Gulf War. Caslen also served two combat tours in Afghanistan.
