MLB: AP Source: LHP Wolf, Brewers agree to 3-year deal

By RONALD BLUM

INDIANAPOLIS — Pitcher Randy Wolf and the Milwaukee Brewers have reached a preliminary agreement on a three-year contract worth $27 million to $30 million, a person familiar with the negotiations told The Associated Press.

The deal is subject to completion of final details, the person said Wednesday, speaking on condition of anonymity because no announcement had been made.
The 34-year-old left-hander was 11-7 with a 3.23 ERA this year in his lone season with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He had a $5 million base salary and earned $3 million in performance bonuses based on innings.
Wolf also was a free agent last offseason. He agreed to the deal with the Dodgers on Feb. 6, about 1› months after Houston offered a $27 million, three-year contract and then withdrew the proposal a week later, citing the poor economy.
