World Art Bazaar under way at Linekona

The Honolulu Academy of Arts’ 28th Annual World Art Bazaar is under way at the Academy Art Center at Linekona. The event, which started late last month, will wrap up this weekend.
It shopping experience offers: clothing, jewelry, antiques, masks, small furnishings, tchotchkes, and more from around the globe. Bazaar items include:
- Bollywood-ready traditional Indian costume jewelry, such as handpainted enamel earrings from Rajasthan;
- Japanese stencils from the 1930s;
- vintage ikebana baskets, ceramics and lacquer, and obi from Japan;
- antique African beads;
- Zuni headdress worn during a corn dance;
- vintage Japanese haori (jackets) and obi (sashes);
- vintage Chinese containers and furniture details.
Open 10 a.m. to 4:30 pm through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday; 532-8700. Admission is free.
