Gift workshop aims to reduce waste

Advertiser Staff

Malama Learning Center will tomorrow morning host “Creating Gifts that are Good for the Earth,” a workshop that explores ways to reduce holiday waste and make creative gifts and holiday designs from re-used and recycled products.
The workshop is set for 9:30 a.m. to noon at Kapolei High School; cost, $7. Participants will learn how to make bags from old jeans and clothes, as well as decorate gifts using versatile, low impact prints with a Hawaiian theme. Registration is required; contact Janice Staab at janicestaab@gmail.com or 808-542-9107.
