Rae Huo is best known as a photographer who shoots some of Honolulu's most memorable images. Now her creativity is taking a new direction with Flying Dumpling, a line of handmade tote bags and one-of-a-kind embellished and handpainted T-shirts. She'll debut the line from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow in her studio at 850 Kawaiaha'o St., Suite 527. She has invited several friends to participate in the sale: artist Jeff Alencastre, jewelry designer Karen Jones, Hip Heirlooms by Jacci, vegan bakers Jenny and Julie de Jesus, and her husband, Zakka, with his unique art, toys and little treasures. Honolulu jewelry designer Katrina Cordova presents her holiday collection at a trunk show from noon to 5 p.m. tomorrow at Shasa Emporium, just adjacent to Riches Kahala. NIGHT MARKET

The monthly Night Market will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday at Aloha Tower Marketplace. Among the fashion show participants and pop-up boutiques are SOLA2, Kaha'oku, Masina Polynesia, Encore Bags, Down to Earth Jewelry and Purotu Designs.

Entertainment will include "A Star's Christmas" presented by Stars of Tomorrow, as well as Tahitian dance by Ia Ora O Tahiti Nui and breakdancing by the Waikíkí B-Boyz. Information: www.alohatowernightmarket.com.

GALLERY GATHERING

The fine artists and accessories designers at the Gallery at Ward Centre will celebrate the holidays in style from noon to 4 p.m. tomorrow. Among the offerings are Babs Miyano Young's stylish necklaces that also function as holders for eye glasses or ID badges. Now she's making some shorter versions and adding earrings to match.

CHINATOWN CHANGES

Artist Scottie Flamm is turning over the reins of the Bethel Street Gallery to co-owner Marc Turner, who will become sole owner on Jan. 1.

Flamm, an avid traveler, plans to travel to Central and South America, as well as Cuba.

Turner, whose work is featured prominently in the new Trump Tower Waikíkí, said he plans to continue featuring artists in special shows. Chris Campbell is among the artists lined up for 2010. Find out more at www.bethelstreetgallery.com.

In other Chinatown news, Alan Carrell, owner of the popular boutique Into, is moving to Aspen, Colo. He has already shuttered the Hotel Street store.

THE SEARCH IS OVER: FINDER MEANS NO MORE MISSING KEYS

Linda Nagamine of 'Älewa Heights was tired of digging in her handbag for keys so she decided to do something about it: She created the Fun Key Finder. It's a simple little leash with hardware that enables the user to hook her keys onto one end, loop it around the bag's handle and clip it so it's easily visible hanging off the handle.

Now, in addition to her keys, Nagamine attaches her flash drives, parking garage tickets and even her photo IDs when she's traveling.

The Fun Key Finder makes a unique and practical gift for friends and family. Affordable at $15, it's sold at Cinnamon Girl, Le Muse and Body & Nails by Jennifer; www.FunKeyFinder.com.
