UH schedules annual winter baseball camps

The University of Hawai'i will conduct its annual winter baseball camps for players ages 7 to 18 at Les Murakami Stadium.

The first session is Dec. 21 and 22. A pitching/catching camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon. A hitting camp will run from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The next session is Dec. 26 and 27. The hitting camp is from 9 a.m. to noon with an infielders camp set for 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Each two-day camp costs $100 per session.

An all-day camp that covers all aspects of the game runs Dec. 28 to 31 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The four-day camp costs $375.

GOLF

CLINIC AT TURTLE BAY

Tony and Gipper Finau, who represent Turtle Bay, will hold a free golf clinic and exhibition Tuesday at the resort's George Fazio Driving Range. The clinic runs from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The Finaus, who played on The Golf Channel's Big Break, will play in the Hawai'i State Open, which begins Friday. Defending State Open champion Nick Mason will also be at the clinic, along with the LPGA's Katie Futcher and Sarah Butler.

All will be available to answer questions and sign autographs.

Turtle Bay's Golf Shop is having a Holiday Blowout Sale this weekend and next, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The course is also allowing fivesomes now, weekdays and weekend afternoons.
