Bank of Hawaii pledges $50K to local charities

Advertiser Staff

Bank of Hawaii pledged donations totaling $50,000 to five organizations to help needy families in Hawaii and the Western Pacific.

The Salvation Army, Hawaiian & Pacific Islands Division, will receive $25,000, Hawaii Foodbank will receive $10,000, and Maui Food Bank, Kauai Food Bank, and The Food Basket on Hawaii Island will each receive $5,000.
The bank decided to make the charitable contributions this year instead of providing client holiday parties and gifts, said  Al Landon, chairman and chief executive officer.
