Police seek public's help in finding escaped inmate

CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are seeking the public's help in locating Shane Caminos, who is wanted for second-degree escape.

Caminos escaped custody while on a supervised work furlough at Ala Moana Beach Park about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Caminos may be in the company of David Mahukona, who is wanted for an $11,000 bench warrant for domestic violence. They are known to frequent the Papakolea, Honolulu and Waikíkí areas.

Caminos, 40, is 5 feet 5 and 155 pounds. He is bald with brown eyes and multiple tattoos. He was wearing a brown T-shirt and blue pants with "O.C.C.C." printed down the leg.

Mahukona, 33, is 5 feet 11 and 185 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
