NEW YORK — Richie Incognito was fined $50,000 by the NFL on Friday for two unnecessary roughness fouls, punctuating a rough week for the guard.

Playing for the Rams last Sunday in a 47-7 loss at Tennessee, Incognito head-butted Sen’Derrick Marks in the first half. He did the same thing to Vincent Fuller later in the half, then was benched by coach Steve Spagnuolo.
The Rams released him Tuesday and he signed with Buffalo on Thursday.
Incognito was fined for the head-butt on Marks and for a late hit against Fuller. The infractions were his fifth and sixth for unnecessary roughness this season.
In a letter to Incognito, NFL executive vice president of football operations Ray Anderson wrote: “Future infractions of the types you have committed may lead to increased disciplinary action up to and including suspension.”
Tennessee linebacker Keith Bulluck was fined $10,000 by the NFL for throwing a football into the stands in celebration after an interception in that game. The Titans won 47-7.
Also fined was Jets linebacker Bart Scott, hit for $5,000 for unnecessary roughness. Scott knocked the helmet off Tampa Bay’s Adam Hayward in the third quarter of New York’s 26-3 win, also drawing a 15-yard penalty.
On Wednesday, Giants center Shaun O’Hara and Eagles defensive end Trent Cole were fined $15,000 each for a scuffle at the end of Sunday’s game at Giants Stadium.
O’Hara, who plans to appeal, appeared to stiff-arm Cole in the facemask in the closing seconds of the Eagles’ 45-38 win. Cole retaliated by throwing a couple of punches.
