Law firm, with friends' help, collects half a ton of food

Advertiser Staff

A Kailua law firm has collected about 1,000 pounds of food, thanks to its neighbors and friends who participated in a food drive last month.

Hartley & McGehee LLP tripled the amount of food collected over last year by involving other people who do business in the Kailua Professional Building 1 and 2 plus other surrounding businesses, said Eileen Tortuga, with Hartley & McGehee.

Doonwood Engineering, Engineering Systems Hawaii, Island Printing, Cinnamons Restaurant and McRoberts & Associates contributed to the drive.

The law firm delivered 11 boxes of food to the Hawaii Foodbank, Tortuga said.
