NBA: Snowstorm leaves 2 refs for Celtics-Wolves game

Associated Press

BOSTON — The Celtics and Minnesota Timberwolves played with two referees on Sunday night because the winter storm that blanketed the East Coast with snow prevented the third, Leon Wood, from making it to Boston.

Celtics spokesman Brian Olive said Wood, who was assigned to Saturday night's game between the Thunder and Rockets in Houston, could not make it because of flight delays.

Derrick Stafford and Kevin Fehr worked the game in Boston as scheduled.
