Ultra-marathon runner to raise awareness for Hawaii Children’s Cancer Foundation

By Mike Gordon
Advertiser Staff Writer

Ultra-marathon runner and cancer survivor Paul Sibley will participate in the HURT (Hawaiian Ultra Running Team) 100-mile race to raise awareness for the Hawaii Children’s Cancer Foundation.
The race takes place on Jan. 16 in Makiki.
Sibley, whose friends signed a yellow jersey for him when he found out he had cancer, will be running this race in a jersey signed by more than two dozen local kids who have cancer. He is re-printing this shirt for others to purchase for the cause.
To get involved with Sibley’s effort, go to his Web site at http://www.cancerrunner.org.
