The University of Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine volleyball team finished third in the final American Volleyball Coaches Association poll released today.

The 32-3 Rainbow Wahine trailed national champion Penn State (38-0) and runner-up Texas (29-2) in voting by the 60 coaches.
UH's losses came against Penn State in the semis and Texas and California in the regular season.
Minnesota (28-9), the other semifinalist, was fourth.
