Kokua Festival to return in April

The Kokua Festival — and Jack — will be back in 2010.

The festival benefits Kokua Hawai'i Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports environmental education in the schools and communities of Hawaiçi.
Earlier this year, after five consecutive years of festivals, the Kokua Foundation, which organizes the event, decided to take a break, The festival features pop singer and North Shore resident Jack Johnson as its headliner and other performers, both local and national. In 2008, the festival’s Waikiki Shell shows on April 19 and 20 reportedly sold out in 20 minutes.
