Change of leadership planned at Hawaiii Science & Technology Council

Advertiser Staff

Keiki-Pua Dancil will take over as president and chief executive officer of the Hawaii Science & Technology Council at the end of the month, succeeding Lisa Gibson, who will continue to consult with the technology industry trade association.

The organization representing more than 100 companies said the change in leadership will bring a new direction. During the last legislative session, the group had been at the forefront of an unsuccessful fight against changes to the state’s high-technology tax credits known as Act 221.
Dancil had served on the council’s board and served previously as executive vice president of Hawaii Chitopure Inc. and as director of research and development for Trex Hawaii Inc.
