High school baseball showcase camp on Maui

Baseball Academy of the Pacific is holding a high school showcase camp Jan. 9 at Iron Maehara Stadium in Wailuku, an academy press release said.

The camp is available to players ages 14 to 19. It runs 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Cost is $180.
College coaches attending are David Yamane, an assistant at Long Beach JC; Blaine Bernades, an assistant with Mesa State; Chris Brown, coach of San Diego City JC: and Blake Kansas, assistants at Feather River JC.
The camp will have testing and instruction for the players, as well as presentations from the college coaches covering recruiting, eligibility,
scholarships and financial aid and a mental skills training session by Long Beach JC’s Yamane. A scrimmage is held in the afternoon.
