Surf movie filming in Hawaii

BoardRoom - Legends of Surfboard Shaping is currently filming in the Islands and is expected for a summer 2010 release.

The movie will preserve a piece of surfing history, said director Markus Davids in a press release.
Legendary surfboard shapers are being interviewed including Dick Brewer, Donald Takayama, Bing Copeland, Hap Jacobs, Mike Hynson and Rich Harbour.
Filming commenced on Oçahu with Harold Iggy, who has had a tremendous influence on surfboard designs, windsurfing boards and Stand Up Paddle boards, Davids said.
“During our interviews we not only dig deep into surfboard history but we also touch on Harold’s influence on modern board design,” Davids said.
Robert Bell is the producer and cinematographer is Robert Jax.
Interviews also include George Downing, Mike Eaton, Bob Olsen, Ben Aipa and T&C founder Craig Sugihara.
In California interviews will take place with other renowned board shapers Lance Carson, Dave Sweet and Micky Munoz.
