The Honolulu Symphony canceled most of its 2009 concerts, but tomorrow, musicians have regrouped to present a free performance of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony at the Blaisdell Concert Hall — preserving this holiday tradition.

The 4 p.m. matinee features members of the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra and Oahu Choral Society, led by maestra JoAnn Falletta.

Donations will benefit the symphony musicians, who are donating their services.
Pick up the free tickets at the Blaisdell Box Office; 591-2211 or www.honolulusymphonymusicians.org.
