Warren Carroll Grafton, 89, of Kílauea, Kauai, died Dec. 22, 2009. Born in Fullerton, La. A retired U.S. commander. Survived by daughter, Carroll Gerow; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild. Arrangements by Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.

Florence Shizuyo Kawamoto, 81, of Kailua, died Dec. 12, 2009. Born in Honolulu. A retired self-employed hairdresser. Survived by husband, Robert; sons, Glenn and Brian; daughter, Karen Clinton; brother, Ronald Tsuru; sisters, Leatrice Tana, Jean Kaya and Judy Furukawa; two grandchildren. Private service held. Lodrigo Paraiso Parangan, 78, of Wahiawä, died Dec. 10, 2009. Born in Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. Dole Plantation Co. employee. Survived by wife, Basilia; son, Romy; daughters, Remedios Cabucana, Lynn Suquitan, Rosita, Lety Nartates, Lina Rabago, Tessie, and Rita Corpuz; brothers, Ponciano and Francisco; sisters, Ella Moises and Peling Hall; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren. Mary Viola Pollard, 98, of Honolulu, died Dec. 3, 2009. Born in Oklahoma. Served in the U.S. Navy Nurse's Corps during World War II, attaining the rank of captain. Later a public health nurse in Honolulu. Survived by son, Clifford; brother, Elmer; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Leodegario "Leo" Edgar Ramirez, 46, of Waialua, died Dec. 12, 2009. Born in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Survived by wife, Jayda Yoshioka-Ramirez; sons, Kekoa, and Jacob Gamponia; daughters, Leonie Chinen, Aidalynn Kahuli and Cherish Gamponia; mother, Teresita; brothers, Manuel, Rodney and Rollin; sisters, Rowena Sakamoto and Rosie Cacho; seven grandchildren. Celestina Pascual Respicio, 97, of Ewa Beach, died Dec. 12, 2009. Born in Ilocos Norte, Philippines. Member of the Filipino Devotional Society; parishioner of St. Joseph and Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Survived by son, Pedro; daughters, Crescencia Malate, Aurelia and Wilhelmina Rumbaoa; sister, Eugenia Agor; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Harue "Alice" Saito, 85, of Pearl City, died Dec. 8, 2009. Born in Coyote Pass, Calif. Survived by son, Richard; daughters, Iris Pomaikai and Eileen; three grandchildren.
