Advertiser Staff

The Honolulu medical examiner's office has identified a man who drowned Thursday off Kahuku and a man who drowned Friday off West Loch.

The man who died Thursday after being pulled from the water off Kahuku Golf Course was identified yesterday as Henry Soren, 53, of Lä'ie. He had been surfing at a spot known as 7th Hole.

When paramedics and firefighters arrived about 12:15 p.m., beachgoers were performing CPR on Soren. He was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Surf in the area at the time was in the 4- to 6-foot range.

Friday's victim was identified yesterday as Aurelio Agno, 54, of Waipahu. He had gone crabbing and was reported missing by a relative.

Honolulu Fire Department rescuers spotted Agno face-down in the water offshore of the end of Kapapapuhi Street. He was pronounced dead at Hawaii Medical Center West in 'Ewa Beach.
