The city’s Department of Environmental Services is reminding residents that their garbage will not be picked up on Friday, New Year’s Day.

If you are on twice-a-week refuse collection and your pickup day falls on New Year’s Day, please hold your items for the next scheduled collection day.
Communities under the new three-cart curbside recycling program, with once-a-week refuse and once-a-week recycling pickup, are asked to leave their gray carts curbside. Those will be collected either Saturday or Monday. Please leave the gray cart at the curb until serviced.
Please hold mixed recyclables (blue) and green waste (green) carts for the next scheduled pickup.
