Police arrest suspect in Koko Head stabbings

A suspect in the stabbing of two hikers was taken into custody at Koko Head District Park.

Police have captured a suspect in two stabbings at Koko Crater trail in east Honolulu. The stabbings happened at about 3:20 p.m. today. One of the victims, a man in his 20s who was stabbed multiple times, was in critical condition, The other victim, a man in his 50s, was in stable condition. Police and an HFD helicopter searched for the suspect and found him on the mountain above the Hawaii Kai fire station.
