Board takes control of North Hawaii hospital

North Hawai'i Community Hospital will introduce its new board of directors during the Waimea Community Association's next town meeting at 5:15 p.m. Feb. 5 at Parker School Theatre.

Board members assumed responsibility for North Hawai'i's community-owned, 40-bed, acute-care hospital as of Jan. 1. Bob Momsen is hospital chairman. Other new board members are William Anderson, Linda Clifford, Clifford Dias, Bill Hastings, William Hutchinson, kahu Billy Mitchell, Carolyn Quick, Michael Rossi and Kenneth Wood.

Returnees to the board are Dr. John Dawson and Mike Luce. Also on the town meeting agenda will be the community association's annual election to fill two officer positions.
