Kalani girls topple McKinley

Ashlyn Onaga scored 24 points, Violet Alama added 21 and the host Kalani Falcons rallied past the McKinley Tigers, 70-55, last night in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association Red East girls basketball game.

Kalani outscored McKinley 27-10 in the fourth period.

Kalani improved to 5-5; McKinley dropped to 7-3.

Kyle Sato scored 18 points to lead McKinley.

Beverly Madrid scored eight points to lead Wai'anae, which was outscored 14-2 in the second period.
