Weather: Clouds and a few showers today

High clouds will remain over the state for the next few days, the National Weather Service said.

Strong trade winds and showery weather will continue through Thursday with winds diminishing Friday and continuing at moderate to fresh levels through the weekend, forecasters said.

Here's a closer look at what to expect for the rest of the work week:

Today: Scattered showers. Cloudy, with a high near 71. East wind around 17 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Tonight: Scattered showers. Cloudy, with a low around 66. East wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Thursday: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74. East wind around 16 mph, with gusts as high as 21 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Thursday Night: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Friday: Isolated showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74. East wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Friday Night: Scattered showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. East wind around 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
