Man allegedly trying to smuggle cocaine charged

A 46-year-old Kailua, Kona man has been arrested at Keahole-Kona International Airport for allegedly trying to smuggle 3 ounces of cocaine from California.

Police said James Potts Jr. was charged with one count each of promoting a dangerous drug and drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $3,000.

Police estimated the street value of the cocaine at $6,000.
