Memorial set for former UH women's AD

A memorial gathering for former University of Hawai'i women's athletic director Donnis Thompson will be Sunday at 5 p.m. at Borthwick Mortuary, 1330 Maunakea St.
A service will be held at 6 p.m. Scattering of Thompson's ashes will be later.
Thompson, who helped lead the fight for equal athletic opportunities for women, died Monday at the age of 75.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the University of Hawai'i Foundation Rainbow Wahine Hui, 2444 Dole St., Bachman Hall No. 105, Honolulu, HI 96822.
