The Hawaii Academy of Recording Artists announced today the recipients of the 2009 Na Hoku Hanohano Lifetime Achievement Awards.

Being honored with a luncheon scheduled to take place next month are Cecilio and Kapono, The Sons of Hawaii, Keola and Kapono Beamer, the late John Piilani Watkins and the late George Jarrett Helm.

The awards luncheon will take place at 11 a.m. March 15 at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel's Hawaii Ballrooms.

Tickets for the award luncheon are $75 for HARA members, $85 for nonmembers and $100 for VIP.

The remainder of the 2009 Na Hoku Hanohano awards will be presented in a ceremony scheduled to take place June 9. Award nominees have not yet been announced, but tickets for the ceremony are now on sale through May 8. Tickets are $115 for HARA members, $125 for nonmembers and $200 for VIP, and are available by calling 593-9424.
