2008: NFC 42, AFC 30

Jeff Garcia and Terrell Owens haven't always seen eye-to-eye, but they can still get it done on the football field.

Garcia hit Owens — his former teammate with the San Francisco 49ers — on a 6-yard touchdown pass early in the fourth quarter that put the NFC ahead for good in a 42-30 come-from-behind victory over the AFC in the Pro Bowl.

"Just like old times," said Garcia, now with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Minnesota running back Adrian Peterson won the Dan McGuire Player of the Game Award after rushing 16 times for 129 yards and two touchdowns.

San Diego kicker Nate Kaeding booted a 21-yard field goal on the final play as the AFC beat the NFC, 31-28, at Aloha Stadium.

"It was like a PAT; it was a short field goal," Kaeding said. "Just smooth and through it and try to hit it through."

The game didn't appear headed for any last-second dramatics, but the NFC scored 14 points in a 66-second span. Cincinnati quarterback Carson Palmer was the game's Most Valuable Player.

The NFC turned five second-half turnovers into 35 points and St. Louis quarterback Marc Bulger led the comeback with a Pro Bowl record four touchdown passes.

"I knew when we were down we were going to be throwing the ball a lot," Bulger said, "and that's what I'm accustomed to at St. Louis so it wasn't like I had to come into a different mode."
