DTRIC INSURANCE

DTRIC Insurance has appointed Craig Watanabe chief financial officer. He will oversee the firm's accounting, financial reporting and treasury functions.

HONOLULU BOARD OF REALTORS

The Honolulu Board of Realtors has elected the following 2009 officers: president, Sandra "Sam" Bangerter, RE/MAX Kai Lani; president-elect, Brian Benton, Prudential Locations; secretary, Joyce Nakamura, Haseko Realty; and immediate past president, Dana Chandler, Hawaiian Island Homes.

Directors are: Judy Barrett, Toan Doran, Scott Fujiwara, Abe Lee, Allison Lum, Nancy Metcalf, Liz Moore, Russell Nishimoto and Joe Paikai.

Regional directors are: central region, Elizabeth Karimoto; east O'ahu, Alice Saul; Leeward, Terry Lovvorn; and Windward/North Shore, Marnie Lee McClain.

HAWAII MEDICAL ASSOCIATION

Dr. Gary Okamoto recently became president of the Hawaii Medical Association. He will oversee physician-patient advocacy, hospital program accreditation for physicians' continuing education and servicing of specialty physician societies.

HAWAIIAN BUILDING MAINTENANCE

Jarrett Walters has been promoted to executive director of Hawaiian Building Maintenance, the largest facilities services company in Hawai'i. He will oversee and manage operations staff, budgets and customer contracts, in addition to researching new products and technologies.

KY INTERNATIONAL

KY International recently promoted Vivyan Lin Chang to senior associate at the architectural firm. She will be responsible for personnel management, office administration and promotion of the firm.

COLE ACADEMY

Naoi Yuen has been appointed chief operating officer of The Cole Academy child development centers, as well as Hawaii Nautical, which operates diving, sailing and snorkeling yachts at Ko 'Olina.
