WAIPAHU-SALT LAKE
Roadwork closing several H-1 lanes through Friday

Several single-lane closures are scheduled during daylight hours for H-1 Freeway between Waipahu and Hickam this week to allow the Department of Transportation to improve guardrails and shoulders.

Eastbound, the right and shoulder lanes on H-1 between the Lumiaina Street Overpass in Waipahu and the Kaimakani Street Overpass in 'Aiea will be closed intermittently between 8:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. through Friday.

Also, the right shoulder lane on the H-2 Freeway northbound offramp will also be closed during that same period, as will the right and shoulder lanes between Salt Lake Boulevard and the Hickam Air Force Base/Nimitz Highway offramp.

Westbound, there will be intermittent single-lane closures between the Hickam Air Forces Base/Kamehameha Highway on-ramp and the the 'Aiea/Pearlridge offramp from 9:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. through Friday.

Electronic message boards will be placed at various points around the construction areas. Motorists are advised to use caution while driving through the work areas and to allow for extra travel time. Roadwork is weather-permitting.
