MAUI
Water will be shut off overnight on Thursday

The Department of Water Supply says that most of North Kihei's water will be shut off from 9:00 p.m. on Thursday to 5:00 a.m. on Friday while contractors relocate an 18-inch waterline.

Customers in the following areas will be affected:

• Sugar Beach

• Hale Pi'ilani subdivision

• The area mauka of Pi'ilani Highway between Manini Place, Ohukai Street and Oe Street

• Kihei Commercial Center, Kihei Gateway Plaza and Pi'ilani Business Park

• The area between South Kihei Road and Pi'ilani Highway from Uwapo Road to Kulanihakoi Street

The rest of Kihei, including Maui Meadows, Wailea and Makena, may experience low water pressure. All customers are urged to conserve water by turning off irrigation systems and halting non-essential uses of water from Thursday night until Friday morning.

Customers are urged to call the 24-hour service line at 270-7633 only if a water problem occurs.
