MONSTER MAKER

Animator and cinematographer Pepe Valencia, who worked on the Academy Award-nominated feature "Monster House" (right), will give a free talk on the making of the film at 7 p.m. Friday (Friday the 13th!) in Ohia 118 at Kapi'olani Community College. Valencia is working on "Astro Boy" at Imagi Studios. He was previously at Sony Pictures ImageWorks. His filmography includes: "Beowolf," "Surf's Up," "Charlie's Angels," "Stuart Little," "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," "Polar Express," "Peter Pan," "Hollow Man," Godzilla," "Starship Troopers," "Space Jam" and "Open Season."
