Kyodo reports JAL to slash fuel surcharge on Hawaii flights,

Advertiser Staff

Japan Airlines will slash its fuel surcharge on flights from Japan to Honolulu and other international cities, according to a report from Kyodo News International.

The Japanese news service, quoting "sources familiar with the matter," reported that JAL will cut the fuel surcharge on flights to Honolulu to 2,000 yen ($22) from the current 14,500 yen ($161) beginning in April.

The surcharge reduction is in response to falling jet fuel prices, according to the Kyodo report.
